John Murray
John Murray was born in Scotland (1898) and died in 1975. Dr. Murray was a graduate of the University of Glasgow
(1923) and of Princeton Theological Seminary (1927), and he studied at
the University of Edinburgh during 1928 and 1929. In 1929-1930 he
served on the faculty of the Princeton Theological Seminary. After that
he taught at the Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia where
he served as Professor of Systematic Theology. He was an
ordained Orthodox Presbyterian minister.
Some of his
publications include: "Redemption
Accomplished and Applied" (1955, Banner
of Truth), "Principles of Conduct" (1957) and his commentary on the
Epistle to the Romans (1959, and 1965).
